Important Background Check Details
Background checks are required under the Child Protection Policy approved by the church Session for some leadership and volunteer positions. You will be asked for some basic information, such as address (you need only provide your current address, although it asks for previous addresses as well), SS#, Driver's license #, DOB. Shortly after you submit that info, you will be emailed a link to access the Child Safety Training Video, which we ask that you complete if this is the first time you are submitting a background check. The video training takes roughly 30 min. to complete, and can be done in multiple sittings if necessary. Once you have completed the video, including submitting the quiz at the end, the church secretary will receive an email notification that you have completed the training.
